K-1000 Sheet Metal Mechanics Tool Kit

Description

The K-1000 is FSI’s complete sheet metal mechanic’s tool system, built around the way the work actually sequences: remove the old fastener, prepare the hole, install the new one. Rather than a single riveter kit, it is three separately stock-numbered boxes that together cover the full repair cycle for blind rivets, solid AD fasteners, Jo-Bolts and Hi-Loks. Each box is foam-trayed for rapid inventory and tool control, which matters when a kit has to be accounted for at shift change.

The three modules are the K-1000-1 Sheet Metal Fastener Removal Kit (NSN 5180-01-584-5839), the K-1000-2 Sheet Metal Material Hole Prep Kit (NSN 5180-01-584-5838), and the K-1000-3 Sheet Metal Fastener Installation Kit (NSN 5180-01-585-7544). Between them the kit carries three FSI D-180 hand hydraulic riveters, a complete D-9000-MIL-2 combination kit, a cordless CED blind bolt riveter, a Sioux rivet squeezer, and a full complement of threaded and cobalt drill bits, reamers, hole finders, nutplate jigs, clecos, rivet sets, bucking bars and pneumatic tools.

Fastener capability: blind rivets (CherryMax® and Huck type blind bolts), solid AD fasteners, Jo-Bolt® fasteners and Hi-Shear® fasteners up to 1/4" diameter.
