K-1000-2 Sheet Metal Material & Hole Preparation Kit

Description

The K-1000-2 is the hole preparation module of the K-1000 system, and it is the one that determines whether the finished repair holds. Hole quality — diameter, roundness, countersink depth and edge distance — drives the fatigue life of every fastener installed into it, so this kit is built around precision locating and controlled cutting rather than general drilling.

The 110 items cover the full preparation sequence. ALHF hole finders in bushing and inverted types locate existing holes from #40 through 1/4″; twelve F518 nutplate jigs position rivet holes off the fastener centreline; ALTD threaded drill bits and ALTR threaded reamers cut to size; and the F590 micro-stop countersink kit with the F590DBK drill bushing kit controls countersink depth repeatably. Threaded angle drills in 45° and 90° reach fastener locations a pistol drill cannot, and clecos with edge grip clamps hold the work while it is cut.
