K-2000-MIL-1 Airframes Sheet Metal Kit with Compressor

Description

The K-2000-MIL-1 is the self-sufficient version of FSI’s unit level sheet metal kit: it adds a dedicated compressor box so the pneumatic tools can be run without shop air. That is the whole argument for this configuration over the standard K-2000 — at unit level, and particularly in deployed or austere settings, an air source cannot be assumed. Developed for unit level maintenance, it covers fastener removal, surface preparation and fastener installation for blind rivets (CherryMax®), blind bolts, solid AD buck rivets, Jo-Bolts and Hi-Loks from 3/32″ to 1/4″ diameter.

The kit is housed in two Hardigg® US Army approved transportation cases equipped with casters and extra carry handles. The main box carries the same five-tray tool complement as the K-2000, featuring the PT-4000H cordless riveter, the D-700-MIL-2 hand hydraulic blind rivet and blind bolt kit and the D-180 hand hydraulic riveter. The second box holds the compressor and hoses, plus an additional D-180 riveter.
