Description
The PT-4500 cordless blind riveter offers the sheet metal technician capability for installation of nearly all 1/4" diameter blind rivets while retaining the size, weight and versatility of the earlier PT-4000. Its rapid extended stroke makes it comparable to most air-operated riveters in cycle time, which is the practical argument for going cordless: the productivity is there without the hose. Weighing less than 5 lbs with the standard nose assembly in place, it is built for sustained use.
Power comes from a slide-on 18 VDC Li-Ion battery pack with fuel gage driving a brushless motor and a mechanical ball screw gear system. The standard configuration uses the F130-F nose tube, F126-F jaw holder, F122-A two-piece jaws, F3621 jaw follower and F3081/F3093 springs. For CherryMax® work the F187-1AR-4500 sleeve and F187-3BCM adjustable adapter shaft mount the F1074 extended straight, F1075 right angle and F1076 offset pulling heads. When installing 1/4" diameter rivets, replace the F3621 jaw follower with the F3245 supplied in the spare parts canister; F123 three-piece jaws with the F142 nosepiece may also be used for 1/8" thru 1/4" blind rivets. Blind bolt configuration uses F123-A or F123-B jaws with the F128 jaw holder and F3245 follower.

Fastener capability: virtually all CherryMax® (M7885), Avdel® and Cherry Monobolts®, Cherry Interlock®, Huck MagnaLok® and Pop® type rivets, plus 5/32" and 3/16" blind bolts (MS90353/54-S/U) with the proper nosepieces (supplied in the MIL-1 and MIL-2 kits).
Applications: Aerospace and industrial sheet metal, airframe repair, production and MRO blind riveting where an air line is impractical.
