D-700-365HL Rivetless Nut Plate Installation Tool (MS14200)

Description

The D-700-365HL is the dedicated 10-32 configuration of FSI’s rivetless nutplate installation tool, built on the D-700 Series hand hydraulic tool with Vari-Max control. It was specified by Hill Air Force Base for use in the F-16 Falcon STAR modification program, and it is the tool to specify when the requirement is high-volume, repeatable MS14200 nutplate installation in a single thread size rather than a multi-size kit.

The tool installs a three-piece rivetless floating nutplate by producing sufficient pull force to fully seat the anti-rotational lobes on the sleeve into the work piece while simultaneously flaring the stainless steel sleeve to fully captivate the fastener. The resulting installation meets or exceeds the push-out, torque-out and tensile requirements of MIL-N-25027. The nut is 1050 carbon steel (A-286); the sleeve is 300 series CRES steel, cadmium plated or passivated; the bracket is carbon steel (17-7Ph or A-286 CRES) heat treated to spring temper. A built-in pressure control valve regulates pull force, and the tool is adjustable for sleeve length and material thickness.
