Description
The K-1000-3 is the installation module of the K-1000 system, and it carries four different riveters rather than one. That is deliberate: solid AD rivets, blind rivets and blind bolts each want a different tool, and a technician who has to compromise on the riveter compromises on the installation. Between the cordless, hand hydraulic, pneumatic squeezer and hand mechanical tools in this kit, every fastener in the K-1000 range can be set with the right method.
The complete D-9000-MIL-2 combination kit is carried inside, giving hand mechanical, hand hydraulic, air-hydraulic and cordless riveters in their own case. Alongside it sits a PT-4500H-4307-06CED cordless riveter fitted with a 3/16″ blind bolt close edge distance pulling head, with F4301-05CED and F4313-08CED heads for the 5/32″ and 1/4″ sizes. Solid rivet work is covered by an FRS5015 Sioux rivet squeezer, an F420-123A hand riveter kit with three yokes, a full range of standard and offset ALRS rivet sets, and five bucking bars.

It is stocked and sold individually under its own National Stock Number, and can also be supplied as part of the full three-box system or in the K-1000-H roll-around hangar box.
